Looking for health and fitness inspiration, a genuine lifestyle blog, or just a place to escape reality for a bit? Well, well...you have stumbled upon the right place. Created in 2015 as a place to document my eating disorder recovery, this blog has been a safe space for not only myself, but other women (and men) who were looking to get healthier and happier. Although the purpose of this blog has shifted since its creation, you can still find meaningful content on here whether its health tips, learning something useful through my personal struggles and errors, or using it as a spot to clear your head during the day.
If you are looking for an all-around lifestyle blog, then I am a perfect fit for you. No longer bound by just fitness posts, I share personal struggles and lessons learned, health tips, goals and aspirations, and other thought-provoking and engaging blog posts.
Although this isn’t a well-known blog post that has millions of readers and publications on famous sites, I still love learning, growing, and sharing with anyone who reads. I’ll be the first to admit I am a work in progress, but I love sharing things as I discover them.
I originally started this blog as a way to document my eating disorder “recovery.” I use the word recovery lightly since I am still struggling, healing, and trying to overcome years of disordered eating. As I was posting about how I was trying to get better, I shared numerous fitness and nutrition tips, as well as some personal struggles and realizations.
Fast forward to more present day... I am 25 years old, living in Pennsylvania, and a full-time personal trainer. I suffer from anxiety, depression, a whole heck of a lot of emotional baggage, and a pretty horrible relationship with food (and myself). Writing has always been an outlet for me. It was my coping mechanism when I was younger dealing with a lot of horrific things, and has continued to be a way for me to process my feelings. I have put this blog on the back burner many times due to being afraid that people would judge me or look at me differently for the mess that is going on in my mind, but when I feel brave enough to post something I always feel better afterwards.
I want this blog to not only be a safe space for myself, but for any readers as well. Whether you are someone who also struggles with anxiety or depression, eating disorders, or you just feel better reading about things you are going through as well and knowing you are not alone...I am here to help. I am listening to you and you are safe here. Let us learn and grow together.
